Our season opener will be this Saturday, April 25 at 11:30 a.m. against the Marlins at Spring Street Field. The weather is expected to be glorious.
I am trying to arrange a practice field for Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. If I cannot arrange a field, we will find a place to practice that evening!

Dear Team:
I have just received an email from the League saying that our team photo will be taken on Sat., Apr. 18, 2009 at Prospect Hill (rain or shine) gathering at 12:00 noon for a photo at 12:15 p.m. We will gather at Camera 2. All players will receive a free team picture whether they buy photos or not.
The message also indicates that the team jerseys have arrived. I am scheduled to pick them up Wednesday evening. If I can arrange a practice field for Friday evening, we will hold a practice and I will distribute the jerseys there. If not, I will make some other arrangements and keep you informed.
Please remember that the Little League Parade will be held this Saturday, April 18. We will meet near the intersection in front of the Pelham Art Center between 8:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Remember to bring your raffle tickets for the drawings.

Dear Team:
I was very proud of our players yesterday and had a wonderful time myself. Phoebe and Callie pummeled those poor Madagascar Penguin targets with their pinpont accuracy and strong throws. Ava had some catches that would make Yankees Center Fielder Brett Gardner proud! I can already envision a strong middle order for the batting lineup: Alex, Tess and Jennifer. Yet, believe it or not, we still have a powerful crew who have not yet made it to spring training camp due to their travel schedules: Nora, Bridget, Julia and Kristina!
When I get another practice field for next week, I will let everyone know!
To all our players: make sure you practice with your Moms and Dads this week. I know they will be impressed with what you have learned and it will be fun!

We have a practice scheduled this evening at the Hutchinson School Field from 6:00 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. However, at present all Pelham Fields are closed due to yesterday's weather. The Recreation Commission hotline states that the field situation will be updated later today. It seems likely that we will be able to hold our practice, but please remain alert for additional messages.
Please take a few moments with your player if you haven't already to view the three training videos below. It takes less than ten minutes.

I will pick up the team's uniforms tomorrow and will distribute them at the first practice. Please let me know if your player won't be able to make it.
There is homework before the first practice, although you may not want to tell your player it is "homework" . . . . . . . . . . .
